Leafy Seadragon Watercolour Eco Art Print A4

Introducing Lady Leafy. She’s my third attempt at a leafy seadragon or Glauert’s seadragon (Phycodurus eques). Elusive and ever-so-graceful, they appear like an other-worldy creature.

Despite many years of searching and snorkelling the Marmion Marine Park, where I grew up, I’m yet to have the privilege of seeing them in the wild. I have spent many a moment gazing at them at Hillary’s AQWA. Watching them propel and glide along with their leaflike fins and frilly appendages, sleekly moving through the kelp.
