The Artist Who Paints Stories
If you’ve ever wandered past a painting and felt like it was telling you a story, one without words, but rich with feeling, then you’ve likely encountered the amazing artwork by Peter Ryan. His creations are known for being bright, uplifting and full of heart.
Born and raised in Perth, Peter’s creative journey began in animation and scriptwriting, studying at Curtin University and training under a Disney animation scriptwriter from Los Angeles. In 2009, he made the leap into professional painting, and his work has since become instantly recognisable across Australia.
Peter’s pieces often reflect family, memory and place, making each one deeply personal and relatable.
